This Week in the JUP (August 22nd – August 28th)

August 22nd, 10 a.m. – Maltz Jupiter Theatre tickets go on sale to the public.  The 2016/17 season will include The Audience (Oct. 23-Nov. 6), Me and My Girl (Nov. 29-Dec. 18), The Producers (Jan. 10-29), Disgraced (Feb. 12-26) and Gypsy (March 21-April 9).  www.jupitertheatre.org

August 25th, 6:30 p.m. – Bridal Show @ East Coast Bridals & More, 1200 Town Center Drive, Jupiter.  Runway show, swag bags with discounts, food and beverage sampling.  RSVP required.  Call 561-427-4429.

August 26th, 6:00 p.m. – Live Music on the Waterfront @ Harbourside Place, 200 North U.S. Highway One, Jupiter.  Featuring Tom Jackson.

August 27th, 7:45 a.m. – 2nd Annual Hang 20 Surf Dog Classic @Carlin Park, 400 A1A, Jupiter.  Proceeds benefit Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic, & Ranch.  Check out my coverage of last year’s event here.  It’s a family friendly event featuring food, live music, kid’s events, vendors, and surfing dogs.  Surf heats start at 8:30 a.m. with an awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m.  Stay for dog performance shows in the afternoon.

August 27th, 8 p.m. – Sinatra Saturday @ Harbourside Place, 200 North U.S. Highway One, Jupiter.  Join Legends Radio as they salute the chairman of the board with an evening of fantastic Sinatra classics. Enjoy a lovely night at the waterfront amphitheater.

August 26th – Legendary guitar virtuoso Bobby Lee Rodgers returns to Guanabanas.  21 and over, no cover.

August 27th, 4 p.m. – The String Assassins, assassinating the stage one note at a time. Happy Hour. All Ages No Cover

August 27th, 9 p.m. – The Helmsmen, home from the road birthday bash! 21 and Over No Cover.

Square Grouper Tiki Bar @ 1111 Love Street, Jupiter

August 26th, 3 p.m. – Jim DiBattista is a full time solo acoustic singer/songwriter. He has been a Palm Beach County professional musician since the late 80’s, and in 2016, he will be celebrating his 30th year in the business.  He concentrates on his interpretation of the songs and artists who have influenced him and led him to where he is now.

August 26th, 8 p.m. – TJ Cronin Band performs modern and 90’s country hits. So grab your boots and bikini tops, because TJ Cronin is bringing the country!

August 27th, 3 p.m. – Based out of South Florida, Victoria Cardona is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist one-woman band. Her unique performances are a sonic and visual experience that take the audience on a journey through the deep realms of the spontaneous composition process.

August 27th, 8 p.m. – Chemradery. It’s not a word in the English dictionary, but it might very well make it there if this band has anything to say about it.

August 28st, 3 p.m. – Andrew Morris – Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar – Andrew began his professional career as a solo artist at the age of 18 in local restaurants, bars and community events. He formed the Southbound Train band at 20 and it later became the Andrew Morris Band.  He is self-taught and delivers a pure natural sound.

August 26th, 7 p.m. – The Shakers: GREAT horn driven dance band!!  30 years together and sounding better then ever!

August 27th, 7 p.m. – Big Vince and the Phat Cats, Return of the Phati: These guys kick ass intergalactic style. Blues funk party dance like the bar scene from Star Wars.  Get ready to get funky.
